Prior to mid 2009 Ancestra was bottled in hand-blown multi-colored glass with a stamped metal label. After 2009 the bottle design was changed slightly and were produced using production line methods. The stamped metal labels are still being used.
Ancestra primarily produces 100% de Agave tequila but also produces a mixto version.

Ancestra produces both 100% de Agave tequila and a mixto version. The mixto version has a lower price tag, but is made with only 51% agave sugar.
