Mercedes Gertz was born in Mexico City in 1965, graduated in 1990 from Parson's School, New York, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has participated in different group shows around the work among them Europalia in Belgium, Expo Arte Joven in Santiago, Chile, Vision Merrill Lynch in New Jersey, Etc. In 1989, she presented her first individual show in New York, and then continued her successful track record that has distinguished her until now.
We cannot fail to mention the important work she has performed in Mexico, such as the series of engravings for the permanent collection of the Jose Luis Cuevas Museum as well as the design of the sculpture presently at the National Auditorium.
